Senior Fitness Day Walk at Crissy Field!
Senior Fitness Day walk in Chrissy field on Thursday May 23 at 1pm. We’re going to have a 1 mile, 2 mile, and 4 mile group. Get free drinks and snack provided by Sports Basement and meet some other organizations serving the older adult community. Sign up Would anyone be willing to be a group leader for this walk? I’m anticipating there might be more people than I can manage.
High School Student Volunteers?
Recently I’ve been in touch with a few high school students who have been interested in helping out with leading some walks. I thought this sounded like an awesome opportunity for some intergenerational walks and exchange ideas. So I’m working with a counselor at Archbishop Riordan High School to put together a program for two of his students. Anyone know any high school counselors or students?
Grants?
I’m starting to put together a grant application to help fund the club. Anyone know any companies or other organizations that have funds to allocate or people who might know people? Thought it would be worth asking.
