A new newsletter format!

Hi!

It looks like the calendar move has worked out pretty well for us. So I think I’m going to start using this newsletter as a venue to share some cool things and share some of the things I’ve learned on our walks.

Quick Updates

Ingleside walks will be postponed for the next few weeks.

Due to the pipe burst at Stern Grove, we’ll be moving this walk to Ocean Beach until the park is cleaned up. THIS SUNDAY we’ll be meeting earlier at 10am AND at Andytown Coffee Roasters instead of Java Beach on Sloat because of the St. Patrick’s day festivities (Java Beach on Sloat is next door to the Irish Cultural Center). Jen and I are going to check it out after the walk. Feel free to tag along!

I created a website! www.NeighborhoodSteps.com. So now if you want to share this with a friend. You can send them this link to sign up either for this newsletter OR for the signup form to formally join.

Gerard from Corona Heights

I got a chance to chat with Gerard from Corona Heights. He was a banker in one life and then a hotelier in another. It was an inspirational story about dipping one’s toes into a hobby, finding passion, and then setting off on a whirlwind adventure without ever looking back and having no regrets. He and his partner bought a bed and breakfast in Burgundy France and then he ended up managing The Palace Hotel here in San Francisco!

Brian from Bernal Heights

I also got a chance to chat with Brian from Bernal Heights. He lived here over 40 years ago and is now moving back. My fiancé is also from DC so I know how living here in Bernal Heights has its attractions. I’m glad people still see the charm and the things San Francisco to offer

Excited to keep chatting with everyone. If you met someone new on the walk and enjoyed their story, please submit it and I’ll include it in our next Newsletter.

PS. We’re planning our wedding and I have to figure out songs. Any recommendations for music?
